Shopping Your one stop shop
Home to a mix of high street brands and independent boutiques, Sutton is one of London’s most important retail centres and attracts shoppers from a wide area with something for everyone. Just moments from The Well House, you’ll find St Nicholas and Times Square Shopping Centres. Here you’ll find all of the popular high street brands, perfect for a spot of retail therapy.
Look out for independents like Warrenders Jewellers, Barnes & Fadden home furnishings and Sutton Music Centre and also Sutton’s oldest shop and, according to the Guinness Book of Records no less, the oldest bike shop in the world, Pearson Cycles, set up by Tom Pearson way back in 1860. If you fancy something more artisan, a “pop-up” market is held every month at the northern end of Sutton High Street. Part of a programme to support local entrepreneurs starting their own business, here you will find natural cosmetics, jewellery and handmade clothing. Prefer to escape the rush to the tills? Well there’s always the state-of-the-art 10-screen Empire cinema, which can be found at St Nicholas.
