Green Spaces
At home in nature
At The Well House, you’re never short of choice when it comes to getting out in the open, with lush green parks around the corner, and huge leafy green spaces and forests further afield. Take a short stroll to Manor Park to admire the trees, flowers and iconic water fountain. Or stop and have a drink in London’s first energy-efficient building to use straw-bale construction – Manor Park café.
For fans of beautiful gardens and grand properties, just a ten-minute drive from Sutton town centre, you’ll find Nonsuch Park. The last surviving part of the Little Park of Nonsuch, a deer hunting park established by Henry VIII, it also contains Nonsuch Mansion and a café. Whilst enjoying the fresh air, you can mosey around the Fir Walk, a ha-ha, formal flower garden, kitchen gardens and rose arch walk, all surrounded by wooded belts. And if the Park Run there on a Saturday morning isn’t your thing, you might enjoy the Mansion House for holding a fabulous party instead. Also, between Sutton and Banstead are the Mayfield Lavender fields, although seasonal they are a cacophony of purple in the summer. You haven’t done summer in Surrey correctly unless you’ve taken a selfie here!
