Meet Saoirse, Your New Community Manager at The Well House!
Hello, everyone! My name is Saoirse, and I’m absolutely thrilled to be stepping into the role of Community Manager here at The Well House. It’s such a privilege to be part of this vibrant community, and I can’t wait to get to know each and every one of you. Here’s a little bit about me, my journey, and what I hope to bring to this incredible place.
Tell us about yourself and your role at The Well House
My journey to The Well House has been quite the adventure! I moved back to the UK from Ireland just before COVID, and I’ve been fortunate enough to build a career that blends my love for hospitality and property management.
I started out in high-end hospitality in South Kensington, where I developed a passion for creating exceptional experiences. Later, I spent six years in lettings, working in Canary Wharf and Clapham/Balham, before joining Savills to manage a 230-unit build-to-rent development. That role gave me a deep understanding of community living, balancing the needs of a wide range of residents across eight blocks of townhouses, maisonettes, and flats.
At The Well House, I’m excited to bring all of that experience to create a welcoming, inclusive environment where residents can feel at home, connect with neighbours, and make the most of everything Sutton has to offer. My goal is to ensure The Well House feels like more than just a place to live—it’s a place to belong.
What activities do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
Outside of work, you’ll often find me on horseback. I’ve been riding since I was six years old, and I still love the thrill of being in the saddle—especially during the summer. I also adore running in the beautiful Surrey Hills with Hazel, my best friend’s Rhodesian ridgeback. It’s my way of decompressing, reconnecting with nature, and clearing my head to tackle the day ahead.
What do you love most about The Well House?
There’s so much to love here, but if I had to choose, it would be the resident lounges. They’re such versatile spaces—perfect for working during the day or unwinding with a book in the evening. I genuinely think these spaces are little hidden gems in the building, offering the perfect balance of tranquillity and functionality.
What are your recommendations for residents who are new to The Well House and the Sutton area?
Sutton is full of hidden treasures! If you’re new to the area, I highly recommend checking out:
I’m always happy to share more tips or even hear your recommendations—there’s always something new to discover!
What is your guilty pleasure?
Belgian chocolate raisins. Without a doubt. I could honestly eat my body weight in them (not that I’ve ever tested that… yet!). They’re my little indulgence after a long day. 😄
Tell us something surprising about yourself
Most people are surprised to learn that my first language was actually German! I lived there from the age of 2 to 7 while my parents were setting up their business. I’m a bit rusty now, but I think the vocabulary is still in there somewhere—it’s like a hidden superpower waiting to resurface!
Let’s Build a Community Together
I’m here to help make The Well House a place where every resident feels part of something special. Whether it’s through hosting events, offering support, or simply stopping for a chat, my door is always open. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions, need advice, or just fancy a friendly conversation.
Here’s to creating a thriving community together—I look forward to meeting you all soon!
